TxOLAN Spectacular Halter Show

The TxOLAN show is our regional event and it draws entries from all over the country.  This competition usually includes over 400 Huacaya and Suri alpacas, with three highly aclaimed judges.

This year, we are planning to attend the Heat Stress seminar being conducted by Dr. Ben Buchanan from BVEH in Navasota, Texas.

Our shearers are still working on the schedule, so I cannot provide an exact date and time.  Give us a call if you want to volunteer to help, or if you need to add your alpacas to our shearing day.

National Alpaca Farm Days

Through our open farm days, Timber Lodge Alpacas hopes to introduce our neighbors and the general public to the wonderful world of alpaca breeding and ownership.  Each year the federal governmnet decalres NAFD, and the governor of Texas, Rick Perry recognizes it as Texas Alpaca Farm and Ranch Days.  Take some time for a short trip out to our place to meet the alpacas.  You never know what you might find as your next adventure.

The State of Texas Alpaca Ranchers (STAR) has been a supporting participant in this fiber festival for the past several years.  It is a fun, family-based event for anyone who enjoys spinning, knitting, weaving, felting and every other method of using natural fibers.  STAR hosts the Alpaca Building each year, and we always have a large number of visitors throughout the weekend.  Come on down to Boerne and have a great time with STAR Members and opther fiber producers and craftspeople from across the country.
