Snowmass Chaccoyo came to Timber Lodge Alpacas in February 2008 from the Snowmass auction in Arizona. According to Julie Skinner of Snowmass Alpacas, he was only shown once, and took First Place and Color Champion among White Males. Chaccoyo is registered as Beige, although he appears White. He produced five crias while he lived at Snowmass Alpacas, and the Skinners have retained two of them for their breeding program. Chaccoyo has a strong conformation package, and fiber character that will benefit any breeding program.
While others are cutting back on their breeding program, you sould be investing in the future of your herd.
Fleece Facts:
• Maximum curvature documented on Snowmass Alpacas ranch, where Chaccoyo was born and raised, has been measured at over 70.
• Chaccoyo's curvature measurement has been 60 or higher every time it has been measured, through 2007.
• While his curvature is outstanding, Chaccoyo has also maintained his fineness throughout his life. Chaccoyo's fineness has remained below 20 microns through 2009.
• Julie Skinner described Chaccoyo as having "extreme density." Denisty remains one of his distinguishing characteristics; one you should experience for yourself.
The combination of fineness and density, complimented by overall fleece character makes Chaccoyo an easy choice to improve the production quality of any female in the US.
Breedings for 2009:
• Total outside breedings will be limited to ten (10) for 2010. This limit is in place to protect the value of each of Chaccoyo's progeny, as well as the overall value of his bloodline.
• Breeding packages of up to two breedings per farm will be considered.
• Mobile Breedings will be considered for trips not exceeding 100 miles from the Timber Lodge Alpacas ranch in Kaufman, Texas. Spring 2010 Mobile Breeding options will only be allowed before the Dew Point reaches 70 degrees for three consecutive days in Kaufman. Fall 2010 Mobile Breedings will be allowed after the Dew Point has been lower than 70 degrees for three consecutive days in Kaufman. No Mobile Breedings will be allowed during the excluded period.
• Be sure to mention any Color Champion or Reserve Color Champion awarded to a female you consider for a breeding to Chaccoyo.
